First, the use of oil casing
Oil casing is a large-diameter pipe that plays the role of fixing the wall or wellbore of oil and gas wells. The casing is inserted into the wellbore and fixed with cement to help the wellbore separate the rock layer and prevent the wellbore from collapsing while ensuring the circulation of drilling mud for drilling and mining.
Second, the steel grade of oil casing
H40, J55, K55, N80, L80, C90, T95, P110, Q125, V150, etc. The processing form of the casing end: short round thread, long round thread, trapezoidal thread, special buckle, etc. It is mainly used for oil well drilling to support the wellbore wall during and after the well is completed to ensure the drilling process and the normal operation of the entire oil well after the well is completed.
Third, the important position of the oil casing
The oil industry is an industry that uses a large number of oil casings, and oil casings occupy a very important position in the oil industry:
1. Oil casings are used in large quantities and cost a lot, and there is huge potential for saving expenses and reducing costs. The consumption of oil well pipes can be calculated based on the annual drilling measurement. According to the specific situation in my country, generally, 62kg of oil well pipes are required for every 1m of drilling, including 48kg of casing and 10kg of oil pipes. Drill rods are 3kg and drill collars are 0.5kg;
2. The mechanics and environmental behavior of oil casings have an important impact on the adoption of advanced technology and increased production and efficiency in the oil industry;
3. The failure of oil casings has huge losses, and its safety, reliability, and service life are of great importance to the oil industry.
Fourth, packaging and storage of oil casing
According to the American Petroleum Institute standard API SPEC 5CT 1988 1st edition, casing steel grades are divided into 10 types: H-40, J-55, K-55, N-80, C-75, L-80, C-90, C-95, P-110, Q-125. The casing should be supplied with threads and couplings, or supplied in any of the following pipe end forms: flat end, round thread without coupling or with coupling, trapezoidal thread with coupling or without coupling, direct connection thread, special end processing, sealing ring structure.
Fifth, the Origin of oil casing
(1) The main importing countries of oil casing are Germany, Japan, Romania, Czech Republic, Italy, Britain, Austria, Switzerland, the United States, Argentina, and Singapore also import. Import standards mostly refer to the American Petroleum Institute standards API5A, 5AX, and 5AC. The steel grades are H-40, J-55, N-80, P-110, C-75, C-95, etc. The specifications are mainly 139.77.72R-2, 177.89.19R-2, 244.58.94R-2, 244.510.03R-2, 244.511.05R-2, etc.
(2) API specifies three lengths: R-1 is 4.88~7.62m, R-2 is 7.62~10.36m, and R-3 is 10.36m or longer.
(3) Some imported goods are marked with LTC, which means long threaded casing.
(4) In addition to API standards, a small number of oil casing imported from Japan also implements Japanese factory standards. The steel grades are NC-55E, NC-80E, NC-L80, NC-80HE, etc.
(5) In the claim cases, there have been appearance defects such as black buckle, thread damage, pipe folding, broken buckle and thread close distance out of tolerance, coupling J value out of tolerance, and internal quality problems such as casing brittle cracking and low yield strength.
Sixth, packaging of oil casing
According to SY/T6194-96, domestic oil casing should be bundled with steel wire or steel belt. The exposed part of each oil casing and coupling thread should be screwed with a protective ring to protect the thread.
