Quality management system for LSAW steel pipe
4.1General requirement
Our company shall establish, implement and maintain a QMS and continually improve its effectiveness in accordance with API spec Q1 7th edition and ISO 9001-2000 standards, to control processes and provide the satisfied product and service for our customers.We shall use processes approach in our QMS, and shall:a. identify the processes needed for the QMS and its application throughout our company (see5-8)
b. determine the sequence and interaction of theses processes(see 7 and fig 1)
c. determine criteria and methods needed to ensure that both the operation
and control of these processes are effective(see Annex 1-2);
d. ensure the availability of resources and information necessary to
support the operation and monitoring the processes(see 6);
e. monitor, measure and analyze these processes(see 8.2,8.4);
f. implement actions necessary to achieve planned results and
continual improvement of these processes(see 8.3,8.5);
g. control outsource processes such as calibration/
verification of measuring devices in accordance with 7.4
and relevant documents .
4.2.1 General of documentation requirements
Our company QMS document system include
1. quality manual: describing quality policy, objective and QMS structure.
2. documented procedure: describing the quality management activities,
as a supporting document.
3. operating documents including external original
a. company management system and standards;
b. working instruction and specifications;
c. technical criteria and inspection methods;
d. quality plan;
4. records including reports, tables etc.
as a evidence of the results of the quality activities.
5. the extent of above documents depends on the complexity
of work and the competence of persons.
