API 5L Standard aims to gas and water in oil and gas industry for reference, which is used for seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipe,including common port and port, pipe socket port and direct stream tube (TFL) and port has for a particular connection tube processing.
ASTM A53 pipe is intended for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam, water, gas and air lines.
ASTM A178 standards for electric-resistance-welded tubes with minimum-wall-thickness made of carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel to be used in boiler tubes, boiler flues, superheater flues, and safe ends.
ASTM A500 covers cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel round, square, rectangular, or special shape structural tubing for welded, riveted, or bolted construction of bridges and buildings, and for general structural purposes.
ASTM A691 covers carbon and alloy steel pipe, electric-fusion-welded with filler metal added, fabricated from pressure-vessel-quality plate of several analyses and strength levels and suitable for high-pressure service at high temperatures.
ASTM A252 covers nominal wall cylindrical steel pipe piles in which the steel cylinder acts as a permanent load-carrying member or as a shell to form cast-in-place concrete piles.
ASTM A672 covers electrical-fusion-welded steel pipe for high-pressure service at moderate temperatures.
