ASTM A192 boiler steel pipe is a kind of seamless steel pipe. The manufacturing ways are the same to the seamless tube, but have strict request for manufacturing steel. According to the use temperature, boiler steel pipe can be divided into general boiler tube and high pressure boiler tube.
Manufacturing methods:
The operating temperature of general boiler tube is under 450 ℃, the domestic boiler steel pipe mainly uses 10# and 20# carbon steel through hot rolled or cold drawn to manufacture.
The high pressure boiler tubes are usually in high temperature and high pressure conditions. The pipes, under the action of high temperature flue gas and water vapor, are easy to appear oxidation and corrosion.
Applications:
General boiler tube is mainly used to produce water wall tube, boiling-water tube, superheated steam tube, locomotive boiler superheated steam pipe, large or small pipe and arch brick pipe etc.
High pressure boiler tube is mainly used to manufacture high pressure and ultrahigh pressure boiler superheater tubes, reheater tube and steam pipe etc.
Boiler Tube Specifications and Appearance Quality
GB3087-2008 “low medium pressure boiler seamless steel tube” regulation, all kinds of structure of boiler steel pipe specification, OD 10-426mm, total 43 kinds; Wall thickness 1.5-26mm, total 29 kinds. But locomotive boiler superheated steam pipe, great smoky, small pipe and otherwise stated in the brick arch tube outer diameter and wall thickness.
GB5310-2008 “high pressure boiler seamless steel tubes” regulation, hot rolled tube OD 22-530mm, wall thickness ranging from 20 to 70 mm; cold drawn OD 10-108mm, wall thickness ranging from 2.0-13.0 mm.
Appearance Quality:
Steel tube inside and outside surface are not allowed to have a crack, folding, scarring, delamination and hairline. These defects should be completely removed.
Remove depth shall not exceed the negative deviation of nominal wall thickness; the cleaning actual wall thickness shall not be less than the allowed minimum value of wall thickness.

High quality carbon structural steel grade: 20G, 20MnG, 25MnG;
Alloy structural steel grade: 15MoG, 20MoG, 12CrMoG, 15CrMoG, 12Cr2MoG, 12CrMoVG, 12Cr3MoVSiTiB etc.
Heat resistant steel rust common 1Cr18Ni9, 1Cr18Ni11Nb boiler steel pipe in addition to ensure the chemical composition and mechanical properties, to do hydrostatic test, flaring and flattening test.
