Most stainless steel welded pipes use austenitic stainless steel as raw materials (such as 201, 202, 304, 316L, etc.), and austenitic type is non-magnetic or weak magnetic. After polishing, the chemical composition of polished welded pipe fluctuates, making austenitic stainless steel magnetic.

3. Pickling welded pipe with weld has strong corrosion resistance. The passivation layer formed after pickling of raw materials is discarded for the polished welded pipe, which makes the polished welded pipe easy to rust and weaken the corrosion resistance in the normal environment.

4. The quality of pickled welded pipe with weld is more stable. Polished welded pipe is a product promoted from Wenzhou. Since most of the raw materials used for stainless steel welded pipes in Wenzhou are secondary materials or even recycled materials, they must be polished in order to cover up the water spray, heavy skin and concave points (also known as corrosion points) on the surface of secondary materials; What’s more, in order to reduce the material cost and reuse the waste plate, multiple longitudinal and transverse welds are spliced on one welded pipe. The quality of raw materials of such polished welded pipe can not be guaranteed, and the quality of the welded pipe itself can not be guaranteed.

5. Pickling welded pipe with weld is more practical. Industrial welded pipe mainly uses the mechanical properties, corrosion properties or channel properties of the welded pipe itself, and the requirements for the surface gloss of the welded pipe are relatively low, except for decorative welded pipe and sanitary welded pipe. Therefore, it is not necessary to use polished welded pipe with high cost and unstable performance for industrial welded pipe.
